The steamship Santurc is freed after 3 days on the southwest bank of Dry Tortugas by jettisoning part of the lumber cargo. She is in Key West for repairs. The captain, Herman H. Kiehne, was in command of the American ship, William P. Frye when it was sunk by the Germans on 28 January 1915. (16 Aug 1915)
