The 125-foot converted yacht Shirin explodes, burns and sinks 3 miles off Miami Beach. This is the third ship lost by Captain Pappas. The others: Albert Soper sank en route to Jacksonville and the Thetis which went on the rocks between Miami and Nassau. (12 Aug 1922)
